Matteo Ragni graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano. From 1998 to 2005 he worked in his own studio, Aroundesign, with Giulio Iacchetti. Their project for a biodegradable fork/spoon ‘Moscardino’ won the Compasso d’Oro ADI award, and is now part of the permanent design collection at MOMA, New York.
He combines his work as a designer with teaching in various different international universities, as well as acting as art director and architect. His clients include: Bialetti, Caimi Brevetti, Coin Casa, Coop, Corian Dupont, Danese, De Vecchi, Guzzini, JVC, Liv'it, Mandarina Duck, Meritalia, Mitshubishi, Pandora Design, Pinetti, Piquadro, Poltrona Frau, Samsung, Suisse Lagenthal, and United Pets.
